Micro Needling is a treatment which rejuvenates the skin using tiny micro-needles in order to stimulate the skin’s natural ability to heal, tighten and even generate a little volume. It is a highly-effective non-surgical method which can be used to treat many cosmetic blemishes, from acne scars to wrinkles, sun-damaged skin and stretch marks, pushing the skin to heal and repair itself. The therapy involves the use of a pen like device with hundreds of tiny micro-needles, creating tiny pin-prick holes in the skin (which will heal within a day), encouraging the skin to repair and regenerate itself by producing more collagen and elastin.

Micro Needling is for anybody who feels that their skin problems are causing them to feel insecure or unhappy and are seeking a treatment that will have lasting effects, but there are a few people who aren’t suitable: those pregnant or breastfeeding, those prone to keloid scarring, those taking blood-thinning therapies or high dose corticosteroids or oral retinoids, cases of uncontrolled diabetes, or on any area with warts, skin cancers or infection.

You can expect to see firm results around six weeks after undergoing the treatment, but the skin will continue to heal and grow for months. Although single treatments are available, the best results are seen with a course of four -six treatments, ideally six weeks apart.

Why Micro-Needling?

Micro-needling also known as Collagen Induction Therapy is a motorised and more precise version to the traditional Derma Roller, the Micro-needling works by piercing tiny needles into the treated skin area which results in collagen boost by renewing the skin cells through the body’s natural healing process. As the skin heals it increases skin collagen and elastin by plumping the area and reducing scars and pigmentation and leaving your skin with a smooth and healthy texture.

How does Micro-Needling work?

Micro-needling, is a motorised piston driven, more precise and improved version of the traditional Derma Roller. It uses 12 tiny ultra-thin surgical steel needles which go up and down thousands of times per second to create micro tears skin.

There is a slight level of discomfort and with the tiny wounds healing rapidly, downtime is minimal—one day or even less.

Does Micro-Needling hurt?

The procedure isn’t overly painful. There may be some discomfort however your therapist will minimise this throughout the treatment.

Is Micro-Needling treatment safe?

Yes, the treatment is completely safe. The Micro-needling treatment does not pierce the skins natural barrier, only penetrating into the epidermis and dermis to stimulate collagen production. The epidermis and dermis heal rapidly, usually in a matter of hours, and the skin should be completely back to normal within 24 to 48 hours.

What is the healing process from Micro-Needling treatment?

You will begin to see the results immediately after the treatment, your skin will be plump, smooth and radiant. However, depending on the skin concern, the results will take 3-4 weeks.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is an innovative approach to removing dead skin cells, allowing a jump start for skin renewal and infusion of nutrients. It is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). Cherry Angioma Removal

Clearer, smoother-looking skin with IPL

Cherry angiomas are small, common red spots caused by clusters of tiny blood vessels near the surface of the skin. While they are generally harmless, they can be noticeable and may be something you’d prefer to have reduced or removed for cosmetic reasons.

Our IPL cherry angioma treatment uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to target the blood vessels within the angioma. The light energy is absorbed by the targeted vessels, helping the body gradually clear the treated area and leaving the surrounding skin looking clearer and more even.

What to expect

Before treatment, we assess the area to determine whether IPL is appropriate for you. During treatment, you may feel a brief warming or snapping sensation as the IPL is applied.

Depending on the size, colour and number of angiomas, more than one treatment may be recommended. Following treatment, the area may appear temporarily red or darker before gradually settling as the skin heals.

Aftercare

We will provide you with personalised aftercare instructions. Protecting the treated area from sun exposure and following recommended skincare advice is important during the healing process.

Important

Not every red spot on the skin is a cherry angioma. Any lesion that is new, changing, unusual in appearance or repeatedly bleeding should be assessed by an appropriately qualified medical professional before cosmetic IPL treatment.
